VFSdos 2.02, April 9, 2003. ----------------------------- What's new: Added hi density support for PalmOS 5.0. VFSdos now has a real 40 and 80 column display (on PalmOS 5 320x320 devices only.) Also added color support for text output, setcolor() and setbkcolor(). You may also want to check out the latest version of Philippe Guillot's Pascal Compiler for VFSdos available at: http://www.total.net/~hkonstas/pp.html IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Please read "manual.html" for important information about this application. Developers should check the contents of the DEVELOP sub-directory and read the additional documentation about VFSdos development included in it. VFSdos is the successor of TRGdos. If you are using a TRGpro handheld, you will need to upgrade your OS to 3.5.3 in order to use VFSdos. The TRGpro 3.5.3 OS upgrade is available free of charge from the handera (www.handera.com) web site. However, you may want to stick with TRGdos on a TRGpro, because it has less limitations then VFSdos. Please consult 'manual.html' for more info/update history on VFSdos. Installation: ------------- Please install ALL of the following .PRC files from this archive: * VFSDOS.PRC: The VFSdos application. * DEMO.C.PDB Demo source code in DOC format. * DEMO.EXE.PRC Demo VFSdos application. * STDIOLIB.PRC The STDIO library used by VFSdos Once you have installed and executed VFSdos, type 'demo' at the command line to run the sample VFSdos demo application. ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS: ----------------- I would like to thank Philippe Guillot for taking the time to port the VFSdos developer's tools into a shared library file, and for adding many new and usefull functions as well. He also created the high density fonts used in PalmOS 5. Merci beaucoup Philippe! :-) I would also like to thank Laurent thaler for providing the VFSmgr.h header file. NOTE ABOUT THE 'DEVELOP' SUB-DIRECTORY: --------------------------------------- The DEVELOP sub-directory contains all the required library and VFSdos demo application source codes to write your own VFSdos applications. Simply install all the files included in that zip and open the "DEMO.PROJ" project file under OnBoardC (search for OnBoardC in the yahoo groups). Press the compile button and the demo application will be re-compiled. You need a DOC editor to view and edit the DEMO.C source code. I recommend QEdit (bundled with Fonthack and hkfont for a 40x25 display). And ofcourse, you will also need the OnBoardC compiler. Please have a look at the 'VFSdos developer's manual.htm' file for information on how to develop your own VFSdos applications. The DEMO source file should be enough to get you started.
