A: Over the air download is the simplest way to download games to your device. Depending on your device, open T-Zones, Nextel Online, BlackBerry Browser, BlackBerry WAP Browser or whatever browser you have on your BlackBerry. In the Thumb Wheel menu, select "Go To..." and then in the dialog presented, enter http://bb.magmic.com/ and select OK. This site is specially designed for BlackBerry viewing and for quick download as there are few images and fairly simple text and links. Select the link to follow if you want to download color games and, e.g., Card Games or Action Games. Select the link for the game to download and you will be presented with a dialog with information on the download, then select the Download button. 2 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: My blackberry does not have a browser. Is there another way I can get and install a game? A: The alternate is to download the games to your PC and then use BlackBerry Desktop Manager to upload the game to your handheld. You can download all color games at: http://www.magmic.com/downloads/allcolorgames.zip Unzip this file and then follow the directions included in the readme.txt file. 3 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: I get the error message "WAP Session Abort 9: Response too Large" when I try to download the games. A: This is currently a problem with over-the-air downloads with Nextel and possibly other phone carriers where there is a limit on the size of a download. The work around is to download the games to your PC and to use BlackBerry Desktop Manager and Application Loader to upload them to your handheld. Follow the instructions in the ZIP file in readme.txt to do this. You can download all color games to your PC at: http://www.magmic.com/downloads/allcolorgames.zip 4 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: When I browse your web page on bb.magmic.com with my BlackBerry I sometimes get a 404 File Not Found message when I try to follow a link. A: This is a bug in some versions of the browser on the BlackBerry. Refresh the page and try the link again. 5 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: I have downloaded the games to my PC but when I use BlackBerry Desktop Manager to upload the files, I get an error message that starts with "No Additional Applications". A: This is a common problem with the installation of BlackBerry Desktop Manager. In the games ZIP file there is a readme.txt file with simple details for how to work around this problem. 6 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: When I try to download a game to my device through BlackBerry Desktop Manager I get a message like "Invalid Signature" or "digital signatures were invalid" or "Invalid Content". What do I do? A: This is a bit cryptic but means that you currently don't have the ability to put 3rd party applications on to your device. You should contact your BlackBerry administrator to have this added. Make sure to tell them it is a "productivity enhancement tool" that you are trying to add... 7 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: I get an error message that says: Error starting Blackjack: null (or Error starting Freecell:null etc.). A: This applies to any game and is a problem with the BlackBerry over-the-air installer. Simply reboot your BlackBerry as follows: hold down these keys in succession Alt Caps and Delete. Alt is the key with crescent on it on bottom left of your keyboard. 8 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: I hear there are upgrades to my game. How do I get them? A: We upgrade our games for better playability, to add new features and fix any problem reported. All upgrades are included in your original purchase price. Simply revisit where you obtained your game: either over-the-air at bb.magmic.com or through the desktop download at www.magmic.com. Versions are listed and the date when the upgrade was posted. You can elect to be notified of these updates through your account in Magmic Commons but the default is to not send out email notifications. 9 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: My Blackberry is broken and a replacement is being shipped to me. How do I move my games over? A: We support 3 device changes per year in case you upgrade or replace your device. Make sure you are registered in Magmic Commons with the original PIN used for your purchase: http://www.magmic.com/commons.php When you are registered, go into your Profile and select the "My Codes" button. This is where you should enter your original PIN. If you have already completed that step, simply use the form on that page to change your PIN. An email will be sent to you with the new activation codes for the games we have registered to you. 10 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: I have trial games loaded on my handheld and I am unable to remove them via the BlackBerry Desktop Manager. Can you please tell me how I can remove them? A: No problem. To delete a game or application, simply open BlackBerry Options and select and view Applications. In that list, select the item you would like to delete and then use the Thumb Wheel menu and select Delete. 11 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: I received an exception error message not detailed above. What should I do? A: Please report it to us by sending an email to support@magmic.com. We will investigate and fix as soon as possible or will already have one in place and let you know. You can also post game questions in the Forums in Magmic Commons or specifically to TheHouse for card games, LeagueOffice for sport games and and CentralCommand for action games.
